Keep Calm & Carry On

Postby Stacey » Mon Mar 08, 2010 7:39 pm

We read this on a home decor wall hanging at a trade fair last weekend and it keeps popping back into my head.

I'm having de ja vu - seems like we were just packing up for the Newcastle show a couple of weeks ago and now here we are packing up again, only this time it's for the Sydney CraftExpo.

At least it's a home show - we work just as hard, the days are just as long but you get to sleep in your own bed and kiss your own kids before they go to sleep at night. (as opposed to kissing someone else's kids? Not sure what I meant by that, but I'm hoping you understand)

We were excited about taking the two new Kaiser ranges with us, but then they both just about sold out online. Now we have our fingers crossed that some of our preorders make it in time.

We've got some gorgeous new papers coming - Basic Grey Kioshi and Green at Heart; Little Yellow Bicycle Clothesline; October Afternoon Cherry Hill; Pink Paislee 365 degrees and Bayberry Cottage; BoBunny - Sophie, Mama-razzi, Flower Child and Jazmyne; Fancy Pants About a Girl and Roadshow; Imaginisce To Love & Cherish; Trim Craft Laura Ashley; 3 Bugs Savannah & Little Chick; Teresa Collins Chic Bebe.

If some new ranges don't come soon I'm going to have to break out the kids pencils and start designing my own papers so we have something new to show people!

I spied Karen at the show today, doing a class with Sarah Gladman (Scrapbooking Memories Master 2010)

How was the class, Karen?

She was there with Scrapbooking Memories Magazine - does that mean we'll see Ebony at any of the shows?

Here we go again - Off to Brisbane tomorrow morning. Our plane leaves at 6:30am which means a 3:00am wake up call for me! :x

We're all packed, our stock left last Thursday so it will be waiting patiently for us when we arrive to set up tomorrow morning.

We're getting 4 new Bo Bunny and 2 new 3 Bugs paper ranges delivered directly to the stand. Hopefully we don't sell out at the show so that you lovely ladies might get a look at them.

We're taking the laptop this time and (if nothing goes wrong) we'll have internet access up there. So we'll try and check in over the weekend.

Have fun and wish us luck!

We're here & we have internet access!

We've had a great first day, now our feet are very tired. We've had a couple of glasses of wine, now our laughter fills the room!

We've spent time with Sherry and Maryanne of Scrapbooking Memories Magazine editing team and Hetty Hall SM Master 2010 - both lovely ladies.

I've got a 7:30am Marketing Session tomorrow & Lou and Ange have to meet the MD of Printblocks to collect more stock for our stand - because we didn't bring nearly enough and have sold out of quite a few things and it's only day one! We're so special the MD is delivering it himself (joke, he's just a really nice guy who said he'd drop it off on his way to work)

Will come back & Chat again soon.
